Each of these lovely hand-carved black Obsidian raven figurines measuring app. 2 1/4" tall by 1 1/4" wide. The majority of the carving is a matte finish, though the beak has been polished to a gloss. These beautifully detailed ravens are truly wonderful accent pieces that are perfect for so many eclectic vibes.
In Norse and Germanic cultures, the raven represents knowledge and communication and is often considered a messenger between worlds.
Obsidian is considered to be a protection stone, acting as a shield against negativity (both natural energies and those of a more psychic origin). Furthermore, obsidian serves as a bridge, allowing for mental and spiritual growth as well as grounding.
Please note that the stand pictured with the raven is not included. This listing is for the raven only. Being that the raven is handmade, slight variations will occur from item to item. These are not flaws, only indicative of the creation process.
