Often used for cleansing the psychic smog from your aura, obsidian is a powerful crystal that can help aide with protection from negative energies. By drawing such negative energies away, obsidian is useful for relieving tension and stress. I personally keep obsidian close to my front door to act as a barrier against negative energy and psychic attack.
